Camo clothes
Camouflage clothing was first developed for the military however everyone is now buying camo clothes.
Not only is it a fashion item, the bonus is that it is also very practical and hard wearing.
There are several camo patterns and the current camouflage pattern used by the British army is known as a
Disruptive Pattern Material (DPM). Introduced in the 1960s, the main usage is a four-colour woodland pattern
made up of black, dark brown, mid-green and a dark sand colours. This pattern has survived over 40 years
and is very effective at camouflage.
A twin colour variant (tan and brown) for use mainly in the desert regions is used primarily because the
4 colour version is used by Iraq and some other Middle Eastern countries.
There is also a version with brighter colours for use in the jungle.
